2nd Birthday - 14th February 2026

It's hard to believe that our beautiful granddaughter, Millie, is now 2 years old.

It was yesterday to be correct, the 13th March; however, it was today, Valentine's Day, that we got to see her. Jake and Sophie had asked if we wanted to come over for a small buffet, and to bring my mum along too. And Olivia would be over from her dad's, so we could spend a few hours together as a family.

It was, as always, lovely to see everyone. The kids were as entertaining as always, and Millie is really starting to get a personality now. You definitely know if she doesn't want to do something, and nappy changing time is always a challenge unless you take the bull by the horns. And Olivia is such a great big sister, she loves nothing more than taking care of her little sister.

The food was lovely, and it was great to see the kids playing, particularly when they were both pretending to sleep under the lounge rug; who needs toys?

We were there a little over 2 hours, we couldn't stay too long as we needed to get mum home so that we had time to get ready, as unusually we were out on a Saturday night. To see Jason Manford at the City Hall, so not a bad day all round, I may say.
