I haven't added anything to this blog since we came back from Norway. It's not that I/we haven't been out walking, it's just that my visits to the Peak District with mates, and Clumber Park with Donna, haven't motivated me to write anything.

So today was the first time I have been motivated to get typing, and it is for a visit to Wentworth Woodhouse to see the Snow Queen lights. Not just the visit itself, but the fact that it was a family visit with Jake, Sophie and our gorgeous granddaughters,

We booked the 10am slot as it was the first one of the day, so it wouldn't be too busy. And we all arrived at the same time, we were just about to pull into the grounds of the house, as Jake was also arriving. The breeze was a little chilly, so as we were a tad early, Sophie and Olivia both had a hot chocolate from the refreshments van outside the house. I didn't have anything, but their drinks looked so good. Definitely not just a spoon of hot chocolate and some hot water!

Around 90 minutes were spent looking around the rooms with their 'ice themed' displays, and the girls really enjoyed it. We also spent some time taking in the delights of the library, cups of tea and coffee whilst sitting on the leather sofas just taking in the ambience.
After a short visit to the gift shop, as Olivia had money burning a hole in her pocket, it was time to head home.
