I must admit that I feel a little guilty that I haven't been posting about any of my outings with my friends, for some time. I started this Blog many years ago, and to be honest sometimes if feels like a weight around my neck, even though it doesn't take that much time to do a post.
Anyway, I have decided to try to do the posts going forward.

I travelled over to the Peak District again today, I say again as my mates and I went to Hathersage last night for a curry and a few drinks, so it meant a couple of trips over there. Some of the chaps were off golfing, so just me and Stuart out today, neither of us are fans of the shaft! And as we are the sensible ones, we would start walking at 8:30am when it was still going to be warm, but nothing like it would be for those guys who weren't teeing off until 12:30pm.
The route we took was a circular one out of Eyam, around through Foolow and then along the ridge at Bretton, before dropping back down into Eyam. It was a route of around 6.5 miles.

For about 75% of the walk we didn't come across any other hikes, it was really peaceful and although the sun was hot, it wasn't unbearable. During the walk Stu phoned the police as we cam across what was potentially a stolen and dumped car, but we couldn't be sure, and as the police don't come back to you, you are never likely to know either way.
After arriving back in the village, we dropped off our gear and went to the Courtyard Cafe. Stu was gutted as he was really looking forward to a breakfast, but they didn't sell anything like that, so we just had to make do with drinks. It isn't exactly your 'greasy spoon' type of cafe.
I was home for around 1:30pm, so plenty of time to chill out with the newspaper.
