Clumber Park - 10th November 2024

We hadn't been to Clumber for a while, so Donna and I headed over to Nottinghamshire today.

The colours around the lake were lovely, the yellows were hanging in there and reflecting over the lake. It was a dull grey day, but no rain, so one can't complain.

We had a steady walk around the lake, it was nice to see the park getting set up for Christmas, with colourful statues situated around the park, all part of a trail for the young children to walk and tick them off as they travel around the park.

The cafe at the bottom of the lake was not open, it opened at 10am and we were there well before then, so instead we grabbed a hot drink from the main cafe at the end of the walk. We had timed it right, as with today being Remembrance Sunday, we just finished our drinks before 11am so could head into the church to pay our respects. What we were surprised about, however, was that we were the only people doing so. Considering that the cafe was really busy, you would have expected more than just us passing on our respects.

It was a slightly surprising and disappointing end to the walk, but everyone is different I suppose.
