For a few months, I haven't posted a great deal, because, I haven't done a great deal. Ok, it's not been as bad as those long Covid days when we couldn't do anything, but it has been a bit more painful.
For around 12 months I was getting some 'bottom' pains which I assumed were Piles, and that it would just go over time. However, what I found out a few months ago was that I had Anal Fissures, and regular treatment didn't help. So after 3 months of the pain getting much worse, so much so that I couldn't sit or lay without being in extreme pain, I ended up in A&E and then into hospital for surgery.
The treatment gives the Fissures around 3 months to heal, so let's hope they do. But thankfully during that 3 months, the pain is no longer there.
Then just a few days after having surgery, I managed to injure my leg, resulting in yet another trip to A&E. I came out in a leg brace and hobbling along on crutches.
After a couple of weeks of it getting no better, I saw a consultant via BUPA, then, a week later had an MRI. And, as we suspected, I have a Meniscus tear.
The story continues, but let's just say that after BUPA messed me around somewhat, my surgery was delayed by around 7 weeks, but on the 11th September I will be in Thornbury Hospital getting 'fixed'.
And of course I do have to make a special mention to Donna, who has almost become my full time carer throughout this period I'm surprised she hasn't traded me in yet
