Roche Abbey - 20th May 2024

This evening I decided to go for a walk, not because I had any desire to go out for a walk, but simply because I am currently struggling with pain when I sit down, so being out walking is the only way of getting some relief.

So where could I go? I didn't want to travel far, so decided to drive to Laughton and then do a round trip to Roche Abbey, about 4 miles in total. So armed with my trusty camera, off I went.

It's a bit of a mix this walk; the first mile or so of the outward journey is along the edges of arable fields, and then you go deep into dark woodland before coming out into the open next to Roche Abbey. After spending about 15 minutes taking a few photos, I took the same journey back, hoping for a sunset as forecast, but it just never came.

I arrived home around 9pm, had a shower and then bed.....well for an hour or so before I decided to go to A&E. But that's another story...
