Lots of autumn colours around at the moment, so where better a place to walk than around Ladybower Reservoir.
No Tony or Stu today, so out with Darrell and the hermit that is Malcolm. No forecast of rain so we expected an early start in dry conditions.
As it turned out, the weather was actually quite nice with plenty of blue skies and sun, which given the late autumn colours it provided a lovely sight. It's never that quite on this easy route, but getting out that little earlier than most means that you aren't always stepping around people, especially those on mountain bikes.
As always we had lots of banter on the walk, and some catching up as we don't get out anywhere near as much as we would like. But that's a sign of good friends, you don't have to see each other all of the time, but always have plenty to talk about.
So just a few hours, and back home by lunchtime.
