Just myself and Tony for a little outing to the Peak District today, which was quite nice as I hadn't seen Tony for a while and it would be good to catch up with what he's been up to. Not that much would be a surprise as we all WhatsApp each other daily.
I picked him up, as he is now a 'White Van Man' so I wanted to wait a while before I join him in the passenger seat to get abuse from all the car drivers on the road. And by 8:15am we were parked up at the Longshawe Estate ready to head out. The weather was great today, sunny but with a strong breeze to keep us cool.
We didn't fancy a long walk, so we were only on our feet for a little over 2hrs, but it was a really enjoyable couple of hours amongst the Heather which by now is in full bloom, with all the pinks and purples on show.
As we arrived back at Longshawe we took advantage of the new outdoor seating area, and just sat back for over an hour drinking coffee and chatting about anything that came to mind. A nice steady start to the day.
