Burbage - 3rd June 2023

It was a hastily arranged walk today, just myself and Darrell again.

The original plan was to meet up at Burbage Bridge and then head along Stanage Edge, but after we arrived it was a change of plan and we took the 'yellow brick road' path down the Sheffield Country Walk.

This section is always fairly busy, as it was today, but it's a gentle walk downhill on a path that's solid underfoot. As usual, we were putting the world to rights, taking the mickey out of each other, the normal type of walk.

After crossing the road we headed up into the Longshaw Estate and headed around the small lake at Granby Wood, before crossing the road down towards the stream. The rest of the walk we have done many times before, back past Owler Tor, over the road then along the top of Millstone Edge, up over Higger Tor and back to the cars.

Another 3hr or so walk so not too strenuous.
