Today was going to be another wet and windy one, so only a short outing was planned.
We waited in until late morning, then as the forecast was for high seas around Sandsend we jumped in the car for the 10-minute drive.
Now I admit that the seas were not as high as we expected, yes the waves were rolling in and you had the odd 'crash' against the sea wall so still worth the visit, but the tides were not that high so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
We did spend an hour enjoying watching it though, then of course before we set off back, a visit to the Sandside Cafe for lunch. Well, it's the law when you visit Sandsend after all!
And the rest of the day, just reading and watching TV.
