It had been so long since I was last out walking with friends, in fact, a long time since seeing any of them. The last time I hiked with Darrell was early July, and with Malcolm, well it was a month before that I seem to remember.
There were only the three of us available today, a day when we were forecast to have dull and misty conditions, but with it, quite sticky and warm temperatures. So shorts and a t-shirt were the order of the day.

We arranged to meet at 8am, that said I did pick Malc up on route so had to leave at 7am for the drive to Burbage Bridge. The same place where myself and Donna started our walk only a few days earlier.
The walk was a longer one however, and the route varied, although we never ventured that far away from the same paths as a few days earlier. Our loop took us around Hathersage Moor, down into the Longshaw Estate and then past Fox House and back over Burbage Edge. Only around 7 miles, and although not a lot of ascent, there was enough up and down to make you breathe a tad harder.
I wasn't able to do a long walk today, not because I have walked so little that I am that out of shape, although I am, but myself and Donna were off for a 2pm rugby kick-off today so I needed to get back for lunch and a quick change around. And with Rotherham Titans scoring 9 tries to 2, it was well worth the day of two outings.
