Jenny Brown's Point - 11th May 2022

The car would not be moved today at all, we planned a local walk of around 5 miles, down to Jenny Brown's point and back.

Some of the walk took us along country lanes, some through Wild Garlic painted woods interspersed with patches of Bluebells, and of course a little stretch along the coast. The weather was dry again, with a little sun, but again it was quite windy so you could never say that it was warm.

When we arrived at the 'Point' we were expecting to see a large column that we had seen in the photos but to no avail. We did see some clearly man-made rocks in a large pile on the beach so assumed that the column had been damaged in some storm, we were a tad disappointed. But we carried on down the beach, only to be surprised that it was actually a little further along the coast, so the feeling of disappointment soon drifted away.

The original route we had planned was a circular one, but at one point all of the 'private' signs put us off a little, so we came back the same way as we had ventured an hour or so earlier. The only difference this time was that we stopped off for tea and cake at the Wolf House Cafe.

Now just a few hours relaxing at the cottage before we head out for an evening meal, courtesy of the £75 voucher the cottage owners had left us due to the fact that the scaffolding had not yet been taken down after recent renovation work.
